BREAKING GROUND – HAYLEY DEXIS officially breaks ground on new 42,000 square feet state-of-the-art National Distribution Centre in Halesowen, West Midlands
The new development is part of a wider scheme to update six warehouses across Shelah Road, the company’s main operating location since the early 1980’s.
The investment represents a significant milestone in the company’s history and will enable the business to increase and optimise product stockholding to better serve it’s 50-strong UK branch network. A network that is fundamental to providing local stock, service, and people on the ground who are best placed to support customers.

The site was recently visited in early 2025 by Member of Parliament for Halesowen, Alex Ballinger, to see firsthand the investment being made in creating jobs and retaining investment within the region.
Today HAYLEY DEXIS is one of the top employers within the Halesowen area. The new distribution centre it is envisaged to lead to the retention of loyal staff members for many years to come. Also, having ample capacity to recruit new employees across a broad spectrum of roles that are required to support continued company growth.
Ben Noakes, HAYLEY DEXIS Joint Managing Director stated: “Even though the Shelah Road programme represents a significant financial investment in logistics infrastructure, it is as much, or maybe even more so a commitment to our people who are the backbone of our business.”
Gary Quinlan, HAYLEY DEXIS Joint Managing Director stated: “Our people are really the key asset here. The new facility will enable us to expand our support teams, as well as put in facilities to develop our existing staff such as training and development spaces.”
The HAYLEY DEXIS National Distribution Centre is due for completion during-2026 which will coincide with the company’s 50th year in business. Solidifying the company’s position as one of the UK’s leading MRO specialists and demonstrating itself as a stable and progressive partner for industrial products and services.
