02 November 2025 – Tianjin, Authorities in Tianjin have shut down four retail outlets in the Nankai District after uncovering the sale of counterfeit industrial bearings. The operation followed a complaint filed by Harbin Bearing Group Co., Ltd., which reported violations of its registered HRB trademark.

After a joint review of the case with the Nankai Public Security Bureau, officials launched a coordinated enforcement action. Inspections of warehouses and storefronts revealed products bearing the “HRB” label. According to expert verification conducted by the trademark owner, all seized items were confirmed to be counterfeit and in violation of exclusive trademark rights.
The sellers’ actions fall under Article 57(3) of China’s Trademark Law, which prohibits the sale of goods that illegally use another party’s registered trademark. Investigators are now working to trace supply channels and identify the sources of the counterfeit bearings.
The Nankai Administration for Market Regulation stated that it will continue its efforts to protect intellectual property rights. Officials emphasize that such measures aim not only to curb illegal activity but also to raise legal awareness among businesses, foster fair competition, and strengthen the overall business environment in the region.
