The event was attended by key figures, including Andreas Roellgen, Executive Vice President and President of Engineered Bearings, and Sanjay Koul, President of India and South-East Asia and Chairman of Timken India Ltd. They were joined by other Timken executives, customers, and suppliers to mark the milestone.

Andreas Roellgen expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “This is a significant moment for Timken. As we continue to drive growth in high-demand markets with innovative products, the expansion of our Bharuch plant will enhance the value and service we offer to customers both regionally and globally.”

The expansion is located adjacent to Timken’s existing Bharuch plant and is designed to meet the increasing demand for the company’s spherical roller bearings (SRBs), cylindrical roller bearings (CRBs), and related products.

Sanjay Koul emphasized the importance of the expansion, stating, “This is a key milestone in our continued growth in India. By manufacturing Timken CRBs and SRBs locally, we’re able to better serve our customers and accelerate our market responsiveness.”

The new plant is built with sustainability at its core, featuring solar rooftop panels, zero liquid discharge, rainwater harvesting, energy-efficient HVAC systems, electric material handling equipment, and over 900 trees planted on site. Spanning 55,465 square meters, the facility is equipped with advanced, fully automated grinding and superfinishing machines, ensuring precision and efficiency throughout the production process.
